Deal with the drama...deal with me.

The end of my 4-yr journey

At last, I have the much-sought after sash in my hands....I was one of the 19 Valedicts of 2005. During the night, I felt a plethora of emotions. Fear...happiness...sadness...nothing new I'm sure to many of us. However, suddenly, my priorities became clearer. I realised that some things which I have been worrying about for the past 4 years don't matter as much anymore. The things I had wanted to get, the stuff that I had hoped for....they don't matter because it's over. I need to let go...I need to come to terms with the fact that there are some things that I won't get, no matter how much effort I've put in...it's got nothing to do with me...It's just not meant to be. And I can't feel bad about it because life isn't perfect and it is this chase after perfection that becomes a burden somehow in the long-run. This is something I've been battling for years.

I push myself too hard. I do things which I'm passionate about, only to feel unappreciated at some point. But, it's what I love to do....so I don't freaking mind but I feel damn shitty when others get the appreciation more than I do. It's not being petty, it's called being human. Don't come tell me that I shouldn't expect things in return. Anyway, one step towards a healthier new beginning next year is by letting go the things that have bothered me and getting over what I didn't manage to achieve. To be happy with what I've managed to accomplish so far....which is aplenty.

My life is colourful because of the challenges that I put myself through, because of the various personalities around me. If it's all perfect, things wouldn't be half as interesting as they are. I have begun to embrace the finale at the moment. Last night, I understood why things have happened. What don't kill me will only make me stronger. I am going back to what is truly important to me.....and it's where my heart is.

Blue Team dominated the Dark Zone!

Last night, we went to the Dark Zone (laser games place formerly known as Zone 3) to celebrate Yvonne's birthday. Wow....after the 3rd game, I thought to myself..."okay...I think I've had enough laser games for the next few years of my life!" Anyway, at this moment, my back is killing me. My thighs hurt....my knee was already busted to begin with.

But, it was a fun night indeed! Still can't believe that Kiran's codename was Tweety...hahahahahah...! And Veenz was Darth Vader...how apt...*sings* psychooooo.....hehehhehehhe....Rosh went totally crazy the moment I did "you're dead" signal to her. Hahahahah.....funny how her codename was Scooby Doo...hahahhahha...I think we were the most psycho pair.....chasing after each other and shooting each other at point-blank.

Anyway, once Wan went home...Yasmin and I managed to dominate the game....hahaha....actually, come to think of it....Sarah B, Savi and Yasmin were already playing quite well....but it was in the last few games that I turned really psycho (yes yes Di.......i know what you're gonna say) and moved up the ladder...from 19th to 16th to 9th then 4th and then the ultimate....R2D2 was SECOND!!!

I'm sooo keeping the score sheet....I've never been the top 3 players before....hahahahah....!
Can't believe how much it's hurting now.....the only gd thing was that my chest pain was gone...but the rest of my body is aching....damnit....

OOoo....the last edition of the Pelican is out....can't wait to read it! Been waiting in anticipation for it!

Rules of life perhaps?

Thanx hommie for forwarding this to me.

ONE. Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.
TWO. Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other.
THREE. Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.
FOUR. When you say, "I love you," mean it.
FIVE. When you say, "I'm sorry," look the person in the eye.
SIX. Be engaged at least six months before you get married.
SEVEN. Believe in love at first sight.
EIGHT. Never laugh at anyone's dream. People who don't have dreams don't have much.
NINE. Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely.
TEN. In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling.

ELEVEN. Don't judge people by their relatives.
TWELVE. Talk slowly but think quickly.
THIRTEEN. When someone asks you a question you don't want to answer, smile and ask, "Why do you want to know?"
FOURTEEN. Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risks.

FIFTEEN. Say "bless you" when you hear someone sneeze.
SIXTEEN. When you lose, don't lose the lesson.
SEVENTEEN. Remember the three R's: Respect for self; Respect for others; and responsibility for all your actions.
EIGHTEEN. Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship.
NINETEEN. When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.
TWENTY. Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in your voice.
TWENTY-ONE. Spend some time alone.

I guess as I get older and with more stuff going on around me and for me, I seek time alone to reflect on things, clear my mind and calm my nerves. A couple of months back, I've also applied Rule No. 18 and I'm glad I did.....there are only few that I regard as great friendships, those that I will hold on to for life. A lot of the things on this list are those that I've attempted in the past few years of my being and there are some which I'm still trying to become comfortable with, which is why I find it apt to place them here as a reminder to myself and also to share with y'all because I really think it helps you grow both spiritually and mentally.

My semi-charmed kinda life....babyyy...babyy!

I just had to put that title..but I don't know how I got to mentioning it while talking to Audz last week and today, while walking along the back pathway, someone was playing the song.

Anyway...last night was the Inter-Wing event. Prescott's theme was "Gothic"...and WE WON!! Nas was the tutor/model coz Yvonne didn't wanna be dressed up and I won the "Best Dressed Person" for the wing....We shall rule the world eh Nas?...hahhaahha!

After that, Audz and I went for Priya's birthday celebration. It marked the second time I got my head kissed..this time by some ermm....n****...but he was nice..not sleazy. As usual, Veenz was the sole witness and only she saw my shocked face...hahahahhahah...!

Above are a couple of pics from last night. The rest are on my multiply.
