Play on Earth (POE)
72-13 is the new home of Theatreworks. I was thrilled to have had the chance to catch POE at 2am...yes...2 in the morning. What a unique experience it was! There was a big screen at the front showing us the audience over at Sao Paolo and Newcastle. We could see one another. I feel that it was such a huge step taken towards creating a global theater experience and I applaude the effort.
Di and I admitted that it seemed surreal as we tucked into our fries, calamari and burger at Swensens (now, it's called Crown Hotel, not Crown Prince. Thanks to the cab driver who shared the info!Haha!). We talked and talked till about 5 before we headed towards Cineleisure coz yours truly wanted to check out the cinemas. And then we walked towards the Centrepoint area to catch separate cabs home. The play was the closest to being avant-garde than I've ever watched thus far. (Claude, if you're reading this, you know I still hope to see one real avant-garde play!). Well....I guess I'll wait a little longer...
